WellBe Check

Dear colleagues,

You will undoubtedly have noticed that we have been paying attention to well-being for some time now, both in our publications and in our actions.

This is because this topic is particularly close to our hearts.

The results of the WellBe check were shared with all our teams during our union meetings and with all ING teams in the field.

The survey confirmed what we had already indicated. Many thanks to the 55.4% who participated in this survey.

What we can already tell you:

  • An analysis was made in which the drivers (factors or causes related to the situation and the person) and the well-being indicators (consequences, signs, symptoms) were linked. These results were compared with external data.

  • Based on this analysis, the teams were divided into 5 welfare levels, ranging from “Model Team” to “Team in Serious Difficulty”.

  • An improvement plan was presented to management and approved.

  • Top and middle management are given tools to reinforce good practices and help teams in difficulty. The tools are numerous: in addition to a guide for managers, the prevention advisors have given each team a report describing their strengths and areas for improvement, together with advice on how to take action, workshops, webinars and support from Attentia.

  • At the same time, some organizational and individual support will be provided. Individuals who participated in the study were provided with possible solutions.

  • ING's offer of help and support to people in difficulty has been strengthened and communication efforts will be made to publicise this offer.

The implementation of all these measures is laid down in a timeline that allows us to monitor progress and verify whether the measures taken are bearing fruit.

We are monitoring this closely and have already scheduled regular visits between the teams to ensure progress is being made, we will certainly keep you updated.

If you have any comments or concerns, please let us know.

Sector news PC 310

The wage increase will be 0.39% from November 1, 2024.

Good news! This month there is an indexation of wages in your sector.

The index is determined by the price evolution of around 1,000 frequently used products and services. The adjustment of wages to the index is not regulated by law but by sectoral agreements. That is why the indexation is not implemented in every sector at the same time.

For the ACLVB, adjusting wages to price increases through automatic indexation is an absolute priority.

Amendment of applications for time credit, thematic leave and career break

From 1 July 2024, all applications for time credit, thematic leave and career breaks must be submitted electronically to the RVA/ Onem, by both employers and employees. Mixed applications have already been abolished from 1 June 2024. Although digital submission has been possible since 2021, the obligation now applies to all sectors.

In January 2024, 48% of applications were still made on paper.

The ‘Dossier Career break and time credit’ online service enables employers to submit a request for a career break, time credit or thematic leave (such as parental leave, medical assistance or palliative care) for one of their employees.

This service simplifies administration by eliminating the need for paper submissions. It also provides a preview screen, enabling you to monitor the status of requests submitted and use it to manage electronic notifications. To get access, please go to: Dossier Interruption de carrière et crédit-temps - Sécurité Sociale (socialsecurity.be) (‘Dossier Career break and time credit’ in French). Click on the ‘Introduire une demande’ (‘Submit a request’) button.

The ‘Dossier Career break and time credit’ online service is available in French, Dutch and German. Alternatively, consult ‘Dossier Career break and time credit’ manual in English (pdf) to use the online service. (Source: Leave | Settling in Belgium)

ING Belgium - A dehumanized bank! (Free vision, own voice)

Not happy with systematically redirecting customers to online services and eliminating one contact after another (telephone, email, etc.), ING's internal customers - the bank's staff - are now being put in the same boat!

"Do you have a question? Contact us via chat or create a ticket." That is what the new HR site tells us right away.

So let's chat 🙀: chat or create a ticket and you're dealing with a robot 🤖! Who of course won't give you an answer right away, because he only understands what has been formatted for him. And if you have a question, it's probably because you haven't found a satisfactory answer on ING Today, to which the robot first tries to refer you.

However, you can still try to contact “a human colleague”, the robot offers as the option! What luck! As if the robot is also a “colleague”.

Your caller – sorry, the robot 🤖 – then asks you : “ please hold while I connect you to an operational agent”.

After about a minute, the announcement comes like a bolt from the blue: “Currently all of our agents are busy”!

The virtual assistant (the robot 🤖) ends the 'conversation' with a laconic: “Thank you, have a nice day!”. Laugh 😂 or cry 😢?!
